Parking Garage/Office Building Planned To Overlook Shem Creek Moving Forward

Tex Small, owner of The Market at Oakland shopping center in Mt. Pleasant, is moving forward with plans for a 4-story structure overlooking Shem Creek with the first two floors a parking garage and the top two for commercial/office space.  About one-half of the 245 parking spaces will be open to the public at all times in a parking-starved area, and the other 120 spaces will be for the building’s tenants/visitors during business hours, but also available to the public in the evenings and weekends.  Jennifer Berry Hawes of The Post and Courier has the story and the update of the development, a joint venture with the town of Mt. Pleasant.
