Another Cold Storage Warehouse User Announced for CHS

For the second time this month, a large cold storage refrigerated warehouse user has been announced for the CHS region.  This time, Agro Merchants Group announced it has leased the former Pigg distribution center in Summerville for importers and exporters of meat and other fresh foods.  The 121,000 SF will be open for business in August after improvements of $8M.  They are also hiring 55 to 70 new workers.  This news is on the heels of Lineage Logistics announcing last week it will build a new cold storage warehouse in Palmetto Commerce Park.  The Post and Courier’s John McDermott has the full story.
