CHS VA To Build a $10M 1,000 Parking Deck

The Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center downtown plans to build a nearly $10M parking deck in two phases that will add about 1k new parking spaces for patients, employees and visitors to the hospital.  That will help alleviate parking pressures around the medical complex as the VA now leases land on a lot near Porter-Gaud and Folly Road off the Peninsula for about 600 spaces on a site where they have contracted for a shuttle service for parkers.  Ashley Hefferman of The Charleston Regional Business Journal has the story.
