$101M Marion Square Hotel Development Finally Underway

After acquiring the old Charleston County library in the mid-1990s and first proposing a hotel in 2004 and a court battle over the size/scale of the development that reached the S.C. Supreme Court, Bennett Hospitality has broken ground on a $101M development for a full-service hotel adjacent to Marion Square and across from the historic Francis Marion hotel.  John McDermott of The Post and Courier has the story.
