Lowes Foods out of NC (and no relation to the other Lowe’s) is planning its first CHS area store in Mount Pleasant at Hwy 41 and Wood Park Drive, near the Rivertowne subdivision entrance and directly across from a Harris Teeter. John McDermott of The Post and Courier has the story here.
Developer Avtex Commercial has submitted plans for a Lowe’s Home Improvement store in the Market at Oakland shopping center in north Mount Pleasant, just north of the Blackbeard’s Cove Family Fun Park, across from Park West and just north of Hwy 41. Lowes Foods, a chain of about 100 stores headquartered in Winston-Salem, has plans to open a 50k SF store near Dunes West in Mount Pleasant on a 12-acre site across from Planters Pointe subdivision. It will also include a fuel facility out front and about 28k of shops, all called The Market at Mill Creek.
